Rondò Armaniano is an imaginary dance composed of lines, lights and colors that gently vibrate, as if refracted through a prism.
The Giorgio Armani Privè spring summer 2023 collection is a luminescent fantasy in which the clothes dance and shine.
Just like the Rococo interiors of Venetian palazzos, it is the splendour of light, multiplied by extraordinary embroidery, that creates the most precious sensations.
Rondò Armaniano is a symphony of small, jewelled jackets, long skirts, fluid trousers and sheath dresses that create seductive silhouettes.
Gorgères and diamond motifs inspired by a painting of Harlequin take us straight to the Venice Carnival, but not only.
Everything is light, impalpable and glittering. The diamonds motif expands onto the catwalk, in a painting that becomes reality.
A reality that remains a dream for many, yet I consider it Art, and as such I simply admire it without feeling the desire to own it.
I find that every time Giorgio Armani offers us his fashion shows, we can all consider ourselves richer in beauty.
And as if by magic, again King Giorgio has managed to pay homage to something in my heart: in this case Venice.
Luciana in her tag wrote me “Venice & Armani: a dream” perfectly describing my thoughts.
And, just to frame … the fashion show took place in Paris!
I really liked this sequence of shots: little glimpses, angles, viewpoints.
Here, at this point I would like to ask you if you would also like to remember a place that inspires you for whatever reason.
I came across this quote by Haruki Murakami:
People leave traces of themselves where they feel most comfortable, most worthwhile.
Do you agree with that?
In my case, I would rather say that it is the place that leaves its imprint in me, but I am weird … how about you?
Marvellous! I love this video. Thank you for placing it here, Claudia.
The great master at his best again. Where does Giorgio Armani get all his fantastic ideas? Maybe angels are inspiring him …
I like all of it – but what I liked best are the white and black combinations at the beginning: either white jacket and black trousers or black jacket and white trousers. The short, waist-long jackets are super.
On another note: How do these girls manage to set one foot exactly in front of the other, when walking? I would fall all about left and right, if I tried to do that. It is rightly called the catwalk. Cats walk exactly like that, setting one paw in front of the other.
True: it’s really wonderful, I agree Olivia.
I also always have a preference for black and white: in fact, many of my clothes are in those colors, and I really like short jackets too.
Are you saying that angels may inspire him?! How nice this intersection of speeches with your post.
Thank you so much for pointing out this aspect of walking: I certainly wouldn’t be able to do it either since I don’t know how to walk in heels, but did you know that we don’t use the term cat walk in Italian? I wonder why, since it’s absolutely true: cats, with their extreme elegance, walk exactly like this.
THANK YOU Olivia!
I also cannot walk in heels, Claudia. I used to wear high heels – but not any more.
Now sometimes I try to do the “catwalk” in flat shoes, setting one foot straight in front of the other, walking in a straight line, like those models do. It is very difficult to keep the balance, after three or four steps, i am tottering left and right ….
Thankfully, there are more urgent and important tasks for me than “walking the catwalk”. Those girls earn lots of money with it. They deserve it.
Yes: those girls are very good and beautiful.
I never knew how to walk in heels, not even when I was young, so imagine now…
But I like walking, a lot, even if instead of a cat I look like a duck 🙂
